Book Chat: Fifty Shades of Grey

Photobucket

OH MY GOODNESS! ;) I'm blushing as I write about the fact that I read this book in 4 days. I guess it helped I spent so much time at the salon (new hair post), but I could not put it down. I have never thought of myself as a prude, but my goodness Mr. Grey!
I have ordered the next 2 books in the trilogy and am super excited to hear they were picked up to be a movie!
I'm not sure how the movie will not be XXX, but I'm sure they will make it hot yet tasteful. lol Is that an oxymoron?
Has anyone read it yet? Thoughts?
I really liked it! I found myself looking up a lot making sure no one was watching me as I read my smutty book. It made me laugh, cringe, and really root for them. (Why am I rooting for them?!) I loved their witty banter emails and I just could not get enough! It's kinda like the vampire appeal. You know, he's dangerous for her, she still loves him, ect. I'm a sucker for a passionate love story no matter how smutty the material is I guess.
I'm actually really excited to see who plays Ana and Christian in the movies. More then excited!
Now I wait a few weeks for Amazon to send me the next two....and I am not happy I can't have them now. ;) I am anxious to see how their story unfolds, I mean there is no way they can continue to have sex like four times a day forever is there?! How does she walk?! lol

**UPDATE I was called on Thursday by Mario Tricoci and apologized to for a miss charge. She had not read my blog, just was going over books and realized I was charged when I should not have been. I was given a credit for the FULL amount and plan to go get a massage in the next couple of weeks! I am one happy camper!!!

I'm always looking for a good book to read I will have to check this one out. :) I know what you mean about hating to wait. last summer I picked the hunger games up on Amazon because it was a penny (+shipping) just for the hell of it. I never expected it to be soo good especially being a YA novel. I read it in a day!

So the wait for the next two was painful. I read each book in a day or two. Since then I've purchased a Kindle and I love being able to get books instantly. Although, I still love the feel & smell of real books!!

I am in the middle of Fifty Shades of Grey, and I CANNOT put it down. I am reading into the wee hours of the night! As I am reading it, I feel like I shouldn't be reading it, ya know? I also loved the emails between Christian and Ana. So great and can't wait to finish and move on to the next one in the trilogy!

Haha just ordered it on Amazon! I was embarrassed to tell anyone since I have heard how racy it is! I typically don't read love stories but I couldn't help myself with all of the hub-bub around it! I gotta check out what everyone is talking about!! (P.S Good to hear you got refunded for the hair catastrophe!)

I have been hearing SO many great things about this book! I'm desperate for something really good and addictive since I've finished The Hunger Games trilogy. Was happy to find out this was a new trilogy I can attach myself too. Can't wait to read 'em!

This is the next book I'm reading. I read the reviews, but hadn't actually talked to anyone who had read it. I'm so glad to know you like it! Now I'm even more excited to start it!

I will have to check this book out. A lot of 'smutty' books are really good I'm finding out. Some of them are actually brilliantly written and have decent plots.

I've been dying to read this book. I almost picked it up at the Hudson News at O'Hare when I was on a business trip and realized it probably wasn't the best read on a plane. I have it on my "books to read" list for maternity leave. Can't wait.
