Cucumber water:
I just can't get enough of it! I peel half(ish) of the skin off and leave the rest. Cut the slices and place in a pitcher with water and set in the fridge. After about an hour of soaking I start drinking my delish cucumber water. I generally fill the pitcher up twice before discarding the remainder cucumber slices. I do eat a few with each glass. And sometimes when I drink it toward the end of the day I stick a slice on each eyelid and it's wonderful! See, multitasking even in my drinks! lol
Kombucha:
I learned about Kombucha at autism one and I am so glad I did! I have been drinking about 8oz a day ever since. There are so many yummy flavors and the health benefits are endless!! Here's a little about Kombucha that I found over on the
Synergy website:
"Foods like Kombucha; a gift we're proud to share with you. 100% raw and organic, Kombucha nourishes the body, delights your taste buds, bolsters your immunity, and makes your spirits fly. You feel on top of the world. Healthier. Happier. Stronger. It is living food for a living body. And its purpose is my mission:
To combine the wisdom of ancient medicinal foods with the resources of the modern day to create products that uplift and enlighten the health of all those who enjoy them."
Obsessed is an understatement. I look forward to my glass daily! This is a lifestyle change and I plan to keep this "obsession" in my daily routine (and my families daily routine) for the unforeseeable future for sure!
Any drinks you are obsessing over lately?

In 1995, my life came crashing down when I heard that my mother, Laraine had just been diagnosed with a highly aggressive form of breast cancer. After a week of emotional turmoil, I was relieved to find out that her breast cancer had not spread and that the pungent tasting cultured tea that she had been drinking was part of the reason why. Read Laraine Dave's Story
I was incredibly touched by how Kombucha had helped my mom and was inspired to begin making it from the kitchen of my parent's house. Being only a teenager, I had no business plan, just a desire to share this gift with anybody who could benefit from it.
Fast forward over 15 years: we have grown from our humble beginnings, when I would hand-deliver my just-bottled Kombucha to local health food stores, to a full-fledged company that makes 17 different varieties of Kombucha products distributed throughout all of the U.S. Although we have experienced some incredible growth, I remain committed to expanding the company gradually and organically, never sacrificing quality for the sake of profits.
I began drinking Kombucha in 1993 when a family friend gave us one of his baby cultures to make for ourselves and loved ones. Making it in our kitchen, I was initially put off by the unusual taste, but as my energy levels increased and my mood improved, the taste began to grow on me, and I found myself craving Kombucha and drinking it every day. Everyone seemed to notice my "healthy glow," so I began bringing Kombucha to coworkers and serving it to clients at the Beverly Hills department store where I worked. I loved to serve it out of champagne flutes, and it wasn't long until my family took to calling me the Kombucha Queen.
In 1995, I was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of breast cancer, known for moving quickly to the lymph nodes and bones, and based on the size of the tumor (almost that of a golf ball) doctors could not even give me a year to live. I was tested again a week later, and to everyone's surprise, my cancerous cells had not metastasized. My physicians asked me if I was doing anything special. "Drinking Kombucha everyday" I replied, since it really was the only thing different that I had been consuming over the last several years. Up to this point I had been drinking it as kind of a beauty aid, but now decided that it was time to look into this "miracle drink." That is when I discovered numerous books and stories about Kombucha and a healing tradition that spanned centuries and cultures.
Due to the size of the tumor, I chose to undergo chemotherapy and radiation to remove the cancerous cells, and I credit Kombucha for keeping me strong before, during and after my cancer experience. It truly is one of nature's best kept secrets, and I made a commitment to spread the word of Kombucha to all those near, dear, far, and wide, in the hope that it could touch other people's lives like it touched mine. I am proud to say that to this day, I remain cancer-free, and Kombucha plays a major role in my life, keeping me healthy, happy and strong.
