Outfit: Math Night

My son's school hosted their first math night so me and the little man had a date night to the school.
He was so excited all day, he kept saying "we have a special math date tonight mama".
Here is what I wore:

Knit & Necklace: Loft, Dress: Piperlime, Boots: Dolce Vita, Ring: Lucky Brand, Bag: Rachel Zoe, Sunnies: Michael Kors

I was sat in the kindergarten room for the first 1/2 hour as my son sat in the gym with the other kids watching a math movie.
I learned all about the terms and methods they will be teaching math this coming year and I was SO happy I went to this. They even gave each parent take home games, game and flash card ideas, and dice.
We met up with the kids for the second 1/2 of the night and we played math games together. I am lucky that my son is great at numbers as he is already doing everything he needs to know by the end of kindergarten/start of 1st grade.
Now we need to work on terms, taking turns, and sticking with activities until they are done. I always forget he's 4 because he's so smart and tall for his age, but this is where he acts his age for sure.

Any other parents out there who plan to play math games over the summer break with their kids?
There are so many ways to make it fun! It really does make a big difference and give them the confidence they need to excel.

Lisa, this is amazing! As a kindergarten teacher I cannot tell you how much this warmed me up (-: I will have to propose an idea like this at my school!

Love your maxi skirt in that bright deep blue color.
So, hold on your son is 4 and he is in kindergarten!
Our school did a family math day earlier in the year as well. Very similar to yours they sent us home with a whle pack of math games that we still use. My son is obsessed with numbers and constantly does math problems in his head with people's ages.
