Over the weekend we visited a park my hubby use to play at when he was a little boy.
The kids had a blast and we did too!
Here is what I wore:

Top: Banana Republic, Shorts: Loft, Shoes: C/O Bakers, Sunnies: Ray Ban, Watch: Fossil, Necklace: Urban Outfitters, Lip color: Rose Blossom by Bobbi Brown
This outfit was perfect for running around in and still looking put together, no?
Super exciting announcement
You may remember me wearing jewelry from Lotus Blossom Designs (here, here, here, and here).
Starting today you can purchase the collaboration earrings with Stilettos and Diaper Bags!

This was such a fun process.
They asked me what colors I wanted (gold, turquoise, and coral of course ;) and what type of jewelry I wanted to see.
I thought a great pair of earrings would be perfect for all my boho chic ladies out there.
Within a few days I had sample photos sent over and they hit it on the nose the first try!

These gals are super talented. I couldn't be more proud to have been part of this.
You will be seeing me rock these quite a bit in the coming months!
I think they are perfect for both spring and summer alike.
The best part? These handmade earrings are only $9.75! Get yours before they sell out!

Outfit: COLOR

I'm so ready for warm weather full time.
We keep going 40's, 60's, 30's, 50's, raining, just be full time spring already okay? ;)
Here is what I wore on one of our warmer days:

I normally would not have paired such a bright yellow top, with a bright pink lip, and a bright orange bag, but when I grabbed the bag to switch purses I thought why not?!
What do you think?
Ever pair three very bright colors together?

Remix: Cowl Neck Scarf

As I rotate my closet and put my scarfs away for next year, I wanted to show how I wore my cowl neck scarf from Threadsence over the winter season.
Here is my scarf remix:

 photo remix_zps37a34f9e.jpg
A great cowl neck infinity scarf is like a great necklace, you can make it work with many different looks and it doesn't have to look the same everytime.
What do you think? What's your favorite look?

Outfit: Print Pants and Barbie Lips

Over the weekend the hubby and myself attended our friend's surprise 30th b-day party.
Here is what I wore:

Top: Macy's (Kensie), Pants: Victoria's Secret, Bag & Shoes: C/O Just Fab, Chain Bracelet: House of Gemmes, Cuff: Willow House Jewelry, Watch: Fossil, Pave Ring: Baublebar, Sunnies: Prada, Earrings: Jewelmint, Lip color: Candy Yum Yum by MAC
I am gaga for these pants!
They feel like I'm wearing pajamas and honestly I could live in this outfit.
I do think it was a bit of an odd pairing looking back at it (maybe too loose) but I was going for the "over sized" look so I guess it worked out.
Next time I will wear these pants with a tighter or shorter top for sure.
What do you think? Are you loving all the print pants out right now, or not for you?

Outfit: Formal Wear

How amazing is this dress from Dressestylest
The beading detail in the front, the train, the tie down the back, I am in love!

Here is how I styled my dress:

Dressestylist has a great selection of wedding, bridal party, prom, formal event, cocktail, and special occasion dresses. It really is your one stop shop for formal wear!

You have the option of picking standard sizing or putting your custom measurements in.
I went with standard sizing because this is my second dress from their site and I feel like I know what will fit me. However, I love that you have that option to customize the sizing, especially if I was buying a wedding or bridal party gown.

What do you think? Have you even shopped at Dressestylist?
You should for sure check them out if you have a formal event, wedding, or prom coming up for sure! The quality is amazing and thier selection is outstanding. It really is hard to narrow it down to just one dress. Good problem to have, no?

Bare Spa

You may remember me talking about Bare Spa back in October. It has quickly become my go to for all things face and waxing.
In the past six months, I have been there three times and I feel like my skin looks the best it has in years!
Thank you Kelly for being so darn good at what you do!
The spa room has a very relaxing feel to it, she had Mumford and Sons playing, and I couldn't have been happier to relax and get my spa on. ;)
Here is what she did for me during my latest visit:
The product line that she uses is Bioelements
I was given a microdermabrasion and facial with a neck mask.
The neck mask is call V-Neck Firming Mask.
My face mask was a custom-blended gel mask based on my skin's needs. Which this time was super hydrating and firming, man is my skin dry lately.
Then she added a lip treatment. It was called Lip Buff and its basically an exfoliating sugar scrub for your lips. It totally tasked like sugar. I liked it...plus a lip massage was surprising nice. ;)
Here are a during and after shot of my face:
I also had by eyebrows and nose waxed. Yes, nose.
This is my second time ever doing this. It sounds weird, I know. Truth be told I was horrified the first time I tried.
Have you ever tweezed a nose hair? Your eyes totally water...it's the worst pain ever. Well, waxing inside your nose does not hurt. Seriously. No I don't have crazy hair that grows out of my nose, but waxing it allows me to take cool angle photos and not worry about what it looks like up my nose (it probably comes at zero surprise that I take a lot of photos of myself) lol:

Hey, a girls got to do what a girls got to do!
I'm just glad I've got a great esthetician who keeps my skin looking and feeling great.
Check out her website for location, prices, and services.
Like the Bare Spa FB page to receive updates and special deals.
Do you pamper your skin? When was your last facial?

Outfit: Middle School Reunion

Yes, you read that correct, over the weekend I attended my 20 year middle school reunion.
To be honest I was a bit nervous. Some of these people I went to high school with or am still in contact with today, but some of them I haven't seen in 20 years!
Here is what I wore:

The night was so fun! A GIANT thank you to Kelli and Jenni for setting this all up for us!

Everyone was so nice and they all looked the same as I remembered them.
It was great to hear about what everyone is doing now and I have a few new play dates set up. I find it amazing that as you grow up you have more in common with old friends. And I LOVE it! ;)
Here's a shot of everyone who came out:
Great seeing everyone! xo

Eucerin 14 Day Challenge

I was asked to participate in the 14 day Eucerin challenge and I jumped at the opportunity.
You may remember me using their products last year too!
Here is what they sent me to try out:

My family and myself dove right in and started using all the products the first day they came.

If I had to choose my favorite two it would hands down be the Eucerin Original Healing Soothing Repair Creme and the Eucerin Intensive Repair Extra-enriched hand creme.
My hands, feet, elbows, and knees are cheering with excitement. They were in desperate need of some hydration and I had no idea how bad/dry my skin was until I started using these two products and saw the results.
Here is what the 14 day challenge did to my hands:
By day 14, my skin looks fresh, hydrating, not greasy (which is key), and dare I say younger?! I am now a lifetime user of this hand creme.

The Soothing Repair Creme I used on my elbows, feet, and knees looks like this:
This stuff is no nonsense! It's very thick and a little goes a long way. My hubby also loved this one for his feet.

The Skin Calming body was and Daily Protection body lotion would be a close second (or should I say third and fourth) and they are a daily must as well. My kids loved these. The body wash is fragrance free and gentle enough for sensitive skin. The lotion was non greasy and they both loved putting it on after baths and showers (as did myself and the hubby).

I would highly recommend the entire line for you and your family. We are LOVING Eucerin at our house for sure!

What are your tips for pampering your skin?

My top five:

-Lotion your feet every night before bed to keep them soft and pampered. When they are super dry, go heavy on the creme or lotion and wear socks overnight.

-Lotion your body after every shower! It's so easy to forget or just skip it...so much better to use it. Find one with a SPF and it's win win!

-Use your hand creme! I feel like you can tell how old someone is by their hands alone. You take care of your body and face why wouldn't you take care of your hands too!

-Use your body lotion and massage your hubby/boyfriend/girlfriend/wife/etc. Great way to stay hydrated and have some relaxing time together. Lite some candles and it's cute little at home date.

-Take time for yourself to get facials, massages, and any other treatments you enjoy. This always makes me feel so refreshed and it's important to take care of your needs too. Can I get an amen from the moms out there! ;)

Style by Bravura Event

Over the weekend myself and Kaitlyn attended the one year birthday of Style by Bravura. The event was at Drink Nightclub in Schaumburg and all guest were asked to bring donations for The Glass Slipper Project. What a great way to kick off a celebration by helping others in need!
Myself and Kaitlyn came with a few dresses to donate and could not be more happy about doing so.
Here is what I wore:

Outfit: Kindergarten Orientation

I was so pumped to go to kindergarten orientation this year.
We are excited and scared for the little man to be main streamed so soon (we honestly thought and were told it would be years if ever), but we know it's what is best for him so I'm keeping my cool and attending all the school events.
Here is what I wore to kindergarten orientation:

Jacket: C/O Sheinside, Top: Macys (Kensie), Jeans: 7 for all Mankind, Boots: Dolce Vita, Bag: C/O Just Fab, Necklace: Ax+Apple, Bracelet: C/O Novobeads, Watch: Fossil

I'm so glad I went. It was a bit overwhelming, I found out the kids have tests in kindergarten!
It was crazy to see how much more he is going to be expected to do on his own, but again it going to be great for him.

We are so proud of his progress and he has taught us to never put him in any box.
I can't believe our son (who just 2 years ago couldn't say more then a few words or make eye contact) is now talking in sentences, playing with other kids, making eye contact, and will be joining a "regular" kindergarten class in the fall.
Proud warrior mama moment!

Now if we could just master appropriate social ques.... ;) I'm going to get calls about tackling and kissing kids for sure. That's my boy!

Jewelry organization

My jewelry collection has become out of control. The last time I organized it was back in January 2011 when I got a second jewelry armour.
Since then, I have filled the 2 armours beyond capacity and jewelry is now all over my dresser.
Here are my before shots:
I didn't take pictures of the smaller armour, but it houses all of my more delicate necklaces, earrings, and rings.
On a recent trip to Target I found these two great pieces:
The jewelry box was $24.99 and the box with compartments was on sale for $10.95. I scooped up both and started my organizing task....which was a big one.
Her is the end result:
My dresser top is no long cluttered, the large armour drawers are no longer over flowing, and everything now has it's own place again. Hopefully it stays this way for a long while now. ;)
How do you store your jewelry?
