Product Review: Jan Marini Five-Step Skin Care Management System

The five-step Skin Care Management System includes a cleanser, rejuvenator, exfoliator, moisturizer, and SPF protectant that is easy to use and was designed for prolonged use with little to no irritation or acclimation. Results can be seen almost immediately following the first application and with daily use skin will appear noticeably smoother and healthier. By following this easy regimen, results will be sustained and improved over time.

“The two most common complaints I receive from my patient’s concern pigmentation and aging. The Jan Marini Skin Care Management System is a comprehensive solution that addresses both of these concerns as well as other common skin conditions,” said Dr. Jaqueline M. Calkin, Board Certified Dermatologist. “There is no acclimation period, which differentiates the system from other skin care systems that we recommend to patients. Patients are able to see results immediately with no downtime.”

By easily incorporating retinol into the system, patients see additional results addressing specific anti-aging and acne concerns. Key benefits of the Skin Care Management System and Starter System:

·       Improves overall skin health
·       Addresses multiple skin care concerns
·       Non-irritating
·       Easy to use
·       Long-term, non-hydroquinone solution

Jan Marini, President & CEO stated, "Our Skin Care Management System provides consumers with a complete skin care system that addresses the most significant skin concerns from fine lines and wrinkles to acne and rosacea. The system can be used in conjunction with our other products, such as our Age Intervention Retinol PLUS, which provides unparalleled skin rejuvenation benefits.”

I tried this skin care system for the past 7 days and am very happy with it!
My face generally breaks out the week before my period (hello teenage like hormones), and this time it did not.
My skin tone looks even, it was gentle on my sensitive skin, and I really enjoyed the clean smells of the products (very similar to a clean soap scent).

Here is what the Jan Marini Five-Step Skin Care Management System looks like:
Here are photos I took on day one and on day seven:
These photos have not been altered or enhanced in any way, be kind ;)

I love that you get a sunscreen step with this system that has SPF 30. I usually use a drug store sunscreen and then undoubtedly break out from it. I did not break out from this one!

The Skin Care Management Systems are available for multiple skin types in the Standard, Plus, and MD versions. Find your nearest retailer at www.janmarini.com. The System is also available in starter sizes that are compliant with T.S.A. carry-on regulations. The system was recently voted "The Best Skin Care System" by NewBeauty Magazine's Annual Beauty Choice Awards.

Summer Sporty Fashion for Kids

Every summer we are on the lookout for great summer sporty outfits.
With both the kids in gymnastics and my son in tennis too we need great quality clothing that the kids can move around in. I also love when said sport wear can be used as everyday wear.
 Enter Nike and Converse.

Check out these sporty summer looks my kids are loving:

Top & Bottom: c/o Nike, Shoes: Stride Rite

This adorable 2 piece outfit has been worn for gymnastics and a day at the zoo so far. It's great quality and a skort is super appropriate for my 2 year old. She thinks it's a skirt, I know it's shorts (so no diaper hanging out)...win, win! ;)

Top: c/o Nike, Shorts: c/o Nike, Shoes: Nike

We wore both Nike items together this day for tennis.
My son was super excited as he already has Nike shoes so everything was "sports matching". That's my 5 year old, he loves putting his outfits together!
Top: c/o Converse, Shorts: Target, Shoes: Converse

How cool is this shirt?! Again we had the matching Converse shoes but my son proclaimed this was his "cool kid" look and demanded that we spike his hair this day. Although this top IS great for summer we will for sure be using this one for some super cute back to school outfits as well. Love me some year round wear. ;)

Have you shopped Converse and Nike lately?

Outfit: Neo Leo

For whatever reason I always feel like neon and leopard print pair perfectly together. Last time I wore leopard print I paired it with neon yellow, this time I went for neon pink.
Here is my neo leo look:

I can't wait to wear the heck out of these pants this coming fall and winter. Love me a lightweight pant that can be worn year round, don't you?

What do you think? Ever pair neon with leopard?

Outfit: Bridesmaid Style

Wedding day for Kaitlyn and Michael Agnew was this past Saturday.
For those of you who follow us on Instagram, you got to see some great first hand photos. You can also look up the hashtag #weddingagnew for all photos taken on Instagram the day of!
Here is what I wore for the wedding.
I waited until after 10:00pm to take these photos so please don't mind the hair. Me and the hubby had to walk 3 blocks in the rain to drop the kids off so we could enjoy the rest of the wedding. ;)
photo a3202d03-a9c0-470f-90f1-2a672b9143af_zps4f9c838c.jpg photo 4bed9310-ed31-49e7-a742-28fa5b4f796c_zpsfb8b3e69.jpg photo 7f10d574-ea7d-41f3-93a3-9b7d47f06b69_zps906ee679.jpg  Dress: J.Crew, Shoes: Just Fab, Gem Stone Bracelet: c/o Erin Gallagher Jewelry, Necklace: Shore, Rings, earrings, & Bracelet: Lili Claspe, Bag: c/o Sole Society, Lip Color: Rose Blossom by Bobbi Brown

All the bridesmaids wore different style dresses. I know every bride tells you that you can wear the dress again (lies all lies! lol), but in this case I WILL in fact be wearing this dress again. I love that Katie let us all pick the style of dress we wanted to wear. Strapless was not an option as all four members in my family were in the wedding and knew I'd be carrying the flower girl at some point. ;)

Here are some photos from Instagram and that were taken throughout the day/night.
Funny shot during the photo shoot
Just Married!

Lili Claspe bracelet (part of the bridesmaids gifts), wedding shots, and a selfie from the party bus
Music videos on the wall, me and Kaitlyn, the adorable take home donut and cupcake station.

I will for sure be doing another post when the professional photos come out. Katie had us go to some very cool locations to have photos taken, I can't wait to see how they all turned out!

The wedding was amazing. I will always be partial to my wedding, but this one was beyond! Kaitlyn was the most beautiful bride ever and we all had such a wonderful time dancing, laughing, and being around family and friends.

What do you think? Have you ever worn a bridesmaid dress that you will actually wear again?

Outfit: Better Break the Shoes In

The day before the wedding:
This morning was filled with mani pedi fun!
My mother-in-law rented out a nail salon for 2 hours so we'd have the place to ourselves. It was wonderful! The entire bridal party was there, the mother of the bride and groom, and some of Kaitlyn's cousins and aunts too!
We had coffee, pastries and bagels (all from Panera), and of course mimosas.
Later in the day I did my daughters nails (she wanted purple on her hands, pink on her toes) and decided I needed to break my wedding day shoes in.
Here is my casual look that I wore all day. I added my new shoes to the outfit to break them in a bit:

Top: Loft, Shorts: Gap, Shoes: Just Fab, Ear Cuff: c/o House of Gemmes, Rings: Love Twist, Necklace: c/o Lotus Blossom Design, Watch: Fossil, Sunnies: Ray Ban

It was pretty windy out so sorry for my hair all over the place.
Sometimes a casual look calls for some amazing jewelry!
You may remember this ear cuff from a post I did back in February at the VIP Spring Line viewing party. Well, it's finally for sale at House of Gemmes! I was so excited as I did not scoop it up at the spring line party and have been kicking myself ever since.

I decided to copy the fringe of the earring with the fringe in this tassel necklace (one of my current favorites), and then I decided I needed a giant ring. More is more right?! lol

Ever wear more then one statement jewelry piece at a time?

Check back tomorrow for my wedding day look and then Friday for a House of Gemmes Giveaway (3 winners!) and coupon code to do some shopping!

Outfit: Rehearsal Dinner

This past Thursday I attended the rehearsal dinner for Kaitlyn and Mike's wedding.

 This is what I wore:

Dress: Lush via Nordstrom, Blazer: Piperlime (similar), Shoes: c/o Sole Society, Necklace: J.Crew, Bag: Just Fab, Chain Bracelet: House of Gemmes, Bracelets: T+J Designs, Watch: Fossil

The rehearsal went awesome and all 4 children under 5 were very well behaved!

We went to dinner right after and enjoyed lots of yummy food, a cute video of the bride and groom, laughter with friends and family, gifts (all the groomsmen and ring bearers got converse shoes, all the bridesmaids got jewelry from Lili Claspe), and a few beers to boot.

What's your go to for summer wedding style? On this 90 degree day a summer dress seemed like the right way to go! ;)

Here's a shot of me and Katilyn:
 photo 3d8210d0-4924-4f9f-ae80-560e253f5b98_zpsb72baae9.jpg

How weird is it to see me in flats next to Katie in heels?! lol I'm such a shrimp! ;)

Keep checking back this week for more bridal party fashion from the weekend and make sure you check out the Sisters Marie Blog for guest posts all week while Kaitlyn is on her honeymoon!

Worth & Worth

If you read my blog you know I am quite obsessed with hats.
My entire life, I've worn hats that cost under $40 each and most of them only last one season due to rips, color fading, or bending then they never look the same. I decided it was high time to look for some great quality hats.
The best of the best if you will. And I'm happy to announce, I have found the best hats out there!

I give you Worth & Worth hats.
After a months of checking out their website and watching photos go up on their Instagram account, I choose two hats that just had to get in my closet.
I was able to call the hat maker himself, Orlando and we picked a size and styles that would work the best for me.

Here are the two hats I splurged on:

Hip Chic $155 (on sale), Savoy $225

Here is how I have styled them so far:
(outfit post: here, here, and here

I have to say the quality is AMAZING! They are both very lightweight and comfortable to wear. I fear I will now only buy from Worth & Worth (yes people, they are THAT great!). Sure a cheep fedora will still do the trick, but if you are as hat obsessed as me, a great hat is like a great pair of jeans. It will never go out of style and you can use it season after season.
They have a great mens selection as well, I think the hubby may need one soon. ;)

Are you a hat lover? Have you ever shopped Worth & Worth
