My Style Monday: Life in Motion

Hey friends! Another weekend went by and we definitely made the most of it. I love weekends that have just as much structure as relaxation time and I would say this one was 50/50. My kids are at this awesome age where it's not panic all the time and you can actually relax a bit. It's new to me and I'm not going to get too used to it...we all know this stage is only a few short years. ;) That said, my husband and I are fully aware what stage we are in and we are making the most of it for sure! Anyone else finally coasting(ish) as a parent after a decade of "oh gosh what now?" lol But I digress.... Today I wanted to talk a bit about fitness.

I have been working out regularly for a few months now and other then a shin splints flare up a few weeks back, my chronic pain is actually allowing me to push through (for the first time in a very long time)! Here's the thing though, I love working out in the mornings, that's when I feel my best. So, my workout clothes have to be appropriate for dropping off the kids at school, working out, and in some cases, grabbing groceries or running errands before stopping back home to change. Enter this versatile elastic bottom hoodie and these laser-cut leggings

I love this hoodie because I'm able to wear it with leggings to the gym, but also with skinny jeans and/or joggers. Which definitely makes transitioning from he gym to running errands that much easier. Plus, I feel like I'm getting more bang for my buck when I pair it with denim. The laser-cut leggings are perfect for my gym or home workouts, and I love the extra breeze when I'm out jogging/speed walking. Would you believe these are my first laser-cut pants? I'm not sure why I waited so long to join this club. ;)

Honestly, at the end of the day I'm not trying to be the most fit or super cut or even to be thin. I work out anywhere from 15 minutes to 60 minutes (four to five times per week) so my core gets stronger, I have good heart health, and I am active with my kids. Because life in motion is so important! Like my grandpa also says, "If you don't move it, you lose it." Take it from an almost 90 year old who gets out daily even if only for a coffee so he can walk and drive and move! Just keep moving guys.
