Backyard Remodel: Deck Update

Thank you for your patience on me getting this post up. You may remember my last "Backyard Remodel" post where I reviled our new neck. I wanted to follow up with how I decorated it and I completely forgot to post this. (lowers head and shakes it.) Better late then never! ;) Plus, now some of the items are on sale, so it's not all bad.

When it came to decorating, I was inspired by a photo I saw in a magazine of Santorini. Something about the crisp whites paired with the deep blue colors and pops of black just drew me in. I decided to use this color pallet and just run with the idea of making our deck feel like a vacation. That is just what I did. 

Yes, we have two egg chairs. We actually started with just the one and had a lay-down bed chair on the other side of the deck. In the end, everyone always wanted to be in the egg, so we sold the bed chair and picked up another. I know, it's super over-the-top (and not cheep), but it makes our deck the most wonderful place to be. I meditate, work, eat, hang with my family there, and thanks to my hubby's latest purchase, it is now also the place where we watch movies on a projector screen. (Best summer ever!)
