Wearing the Basics Doesn't Have to Feel Basic

Everyone owns and wears the classic pairing of denim, a long sleeve tee, and a Moto jacket. These wardrobe staples are thought of as the basics. However, wearing the basics doesn't have to feel basic! By simply adding a bit of edge with your accessories, you can take you look up a notch and feel more put together then you originally thought. Let's take the closer look, shall we?

SHOP THE LOOK:

When it came to this pairing, I wanted to use a few pieces from my recent Trendsend haul as well as one of my favorite new pieces from my October Evereve try-on session. These pieces are all going to be with me for years to come and are such great quality. It was only fitting I paired them together, but then put my own twist on it.

One of my favorite things about this time of year is all the amazing boots. I picked these white studded beauties up last Fall and they are still my most coveted pair! (Plus they come in black too, I mean...swoon!) By adding this pop of white in my shoe, it draws the eye down and breaks up the look a bit. To take it up a second notch, I added my all time favorite Coach purse. This gorgeous bag has been with me since I hosted an event at Coach and my daughter has already called dibs on the passing down of it. ;) I can't say I blame her.

I do have to say, the addition of the bag paired with the boots takes this look from basic to anything but!
