Let's Talk Vitamins

I get asked a good amount of questions about what vitamins I take each day. After taking a poll in my IG stories and learning this was a topic of interest, I decided it was time to share my routine with you. To be honest, what I take has changed many times over the years. In fact, I did share what vitamins and supplements I was taking at one point on the blog back in 2012, but again it has changed a bit since then. I am not a doctor nor do I claim that I can help you with your health needs. I am simply sharing what works for me.

SHOP THE POST:

This past year, I have added a few new supplements to my routine. My ongoing collaboration with ancient nutrition has been extremely helpful in finding new supplements that work for my body and lifestyle. Plus my love of CBD in general has taken down a wonderful road of healing. I'm only going to include one CBD product with this post, and that is the collagen.

I put one scoop of multi-source collagen in my coffee each morning. I alternate between the CBD and regular one, but right now the CBD collagen is my favorite. It has a wonderful cinnamon taste and I look forward to it each day. It is so good for my skin, hair, nails, and joints too.

For my multi vitamin I switched about twelve months ago to the brand My Kind Organics. These vitamins are vegan and gluten free, plus are made with whole fruit. I love the taste and at my latest physical, my doctor told me that my numbers are fantastic right now. The price point is awesome, so I decided to try the vitamin C and B12 from this brand as well. These spray vitamins are amazing. Any time myself or my kids have felt a cold coming on, we have simply added an extra spray of the C to our day and within a few days, we feel better. I will be trying a few more from this brand very soon.

Charcoal is another one that I don't take daily, but one that I take if I have been drinking that night or if I'm sick or have a stomach ache. It is great at sucking up all the acid and bad things in your belly. I always feel great the day after I have taken this one before bed.

These next two I like to alternate every-other-day. I did speak in length about adrenal restore on my IG and honestly I can't say enough good things about it. Same with the ashwagandha capsules. These are great for positive outlook, supporting focus, memory, and restful sleep. They also support a healthy response to stress. We all can use a little of that, am I right?! ;)

These next two my husband and I have been taking for over a year now. We listened to a podcast about aging and there was a scientist from Harvard law who was given the disease of aging to cure for his project. First off, it was interesting to hear that aging is seen as a disease. Secondly, he said that by incorporating these two supplements into your diet, you can strengthen your immune system and add years to your life. Now I don't know if this is working or not, but I do know that if a Harvard scientist says I should try this, I am going to. I also know that last year I only had one or two colds and they were not bad at all compared to others. So I'm going to keep taking these and if you want to, you should too!

Lastly, calcium. I have been taking this brand of calcium chews since high school. I'm actually not loving them lately and want to mix it up. If anyone has a calcium recommendation, please let me know. These are great, but after 20+ years, I'm getting sick of the taste.

Do you take any of these vitamins? What is your favorite brand? Thank you so much for stopping by the blog today. I hope you make it a great day! xoxo
