My Style Monday: Love is in the Air

You guys we did it! We made it through all 75 days of January! lol OK, maybe it was only 31 days, but it totally felt like 75 days to me. ;) It's officially February and it's time to break out all of the red and pink clothing. I love styling my heart colored styles non-stop these first two weeks of the month, and this year is no exception. The only thing different is that I wanted to pair items that I've never worn together before. This blouse and dress combo is a perfect example of that!

By taking a summer dress that I picked up back in 2015 in Austin, Tx and adding a blouse under, what was old is new again. I decided to wrap the neck ties around my neck and tuck the ends in. I love how the blouse now looks more of a turtleneck style. By adding black hosiery, red heels with a bow, a classic black faux leather jacket, and black bag, my look was perfect for the upcoming holiday, Valentine's Day.

I love the concept of mixing and matching items you already have in your closet and making something new with out going shopping. I especially love getting more miles out of your summer dresses by layering with them! If you have not tried this recently, I implore you to do so. It's so fun wearing items you've had for years, but styling them in a new-to-you way.

Blouse: c/o Ann Taylor (from 2018) // Dress: Boutique in Austin, TX (from 2015) // Shoes: c/o JustFab (from 2016) // Jacket: c/o Trendsend // Bag: Michael Kors // Earrings &Necklace: Uncommon James

Do you try to get more out of your wardrobe by pairing unexpected items together? What are you wearing for Valentine's (or Galentine's) Day? Thank you so much for stopping by the blog today. I hope you make it a great day! xoxo
