David McSweeney for State Representative

For those of you who live in the 52 Illionis House District (which includes parts of South Barrington, Barrington, Algonquin, Fox River Grove, Cary, Island Lake, Oak Wood Hills) my uncle David McSweeney is running for State Representative. Here is his bio:
"David McSweeney will be an outstanding representative for the people of the 52nd Illinois House District in the General Assembly. He has the educational background, business experience, work ethic, and commitment to our community to get the job done.

David has deep roots in the north Chicago suburbs. He was born in Park Ridge, and grew up in Long Grove and Barrington. David's parents instilled in him the Midwestern values of integrity and hard work at an early age.

As a college student, David McSweeney completed an accelerated BA/MBA program, and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Duke University in 1987. He continued his education and earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the Duke Fuqua School of Business in 1988.

David McSweeney met his wife, Margaret, in New York City. As newlyweds in New York City, David and Margaret tutored at risk students in Harlem. The couple moved to Illinois, and started their family. David and Margaret are the proud parents of two daughters, Melissa, 18 years old, and Katie, 16 years old.

David's interest in politics began at an early age as a volunteer for the 1980 Reagan campaign. He also interned with the Reagan-Bush campaign in 1984. David McSweeney was elected to the position of Palatine Township Trustee, where he was an advocate for fiscal responsibility and quality government services. He also served on the Finance Committee for former U.S. Senator Peter Fitzgerald. David has demonstrated his commitment to the Republican Party by serving as a Precinct Captain in Barrington, Palatine and Schaumburg Township. David also has supported candidates on the local, state and federal level.

The community is another priority for the McSweeney family. They are members of the Lutheran Church of the Atonement. Margaret serves on Leadership Advisory Board for W.I.N.G.S. (Women in Need Growing Stronger), an organization which helps homeless women and their children get a new start in life.

David has been a successful businessman. He has worked as an investment banker and currently is a financial consultant. We need more people with business experience in Springfield."

2) Property Tax Relief (It's just commonsense that property taxes shouldn't go up when property values go down)

If anyone wants to volunteer, please call Drew at 847-507-0561 It's a fun opportunity to experience a political campaign.
