Since I live near Chicago, I was able to ride on the new Odyssey Chicago River. You guys, this is a custom-built boat with a glass top to show off the iconic riverfront architecture. After seeing a few photos online and also seeing the menu, I knew this was going to be one very fun night! Odyssey Chicago River is the first dining cruise that operates year-round on the Chicago River. It really is an experience like no other. I decided a GNO was just the occasion to celebrate aboard this boat. Fine dining, river views, and a dj for dancing the night away? Yes please! OK, let me tell you a bit about our night.

Five Favorite Places to Eat: Golden Colorado

We recently spent a long weekend in Golden, Co for a family member's wedding. Since the wedding was on a Saturday, we flew in on Thursday afternoon and stayed until Monday. This left a few days for exploring the local area and trying out all the yummy eats the town has to offer. We did end up going to a grocery store since we stayed at an Airbnb and had a kitchen, so not all meals were eaten out. Every meal we had was better then the last (or as good as which says a lot) and I'm fairly certain if I lived there, I would gain 20 pounds a month! lol Here are my five favorite places to eat in Golden, Colorado.

The Do's & Don'ts For a Vow Renewal

I recently renewed my wedding vows, and I have to say it was the best thing ever! Honestly, I am a hopeless romantic, so for me, there's nothing more special then celebrating a marriage milestone with a ceremony like this. When I was getting ready and planning my vow renewal, I read many articles online about the "do's & don't's". Everything from The Knot to different lifestyle bloggers had tons of rules that were said to be the right way to do things when renewing your wedding vows. Truth be told, I didn't agree 100% with any of the articles out there! Why should someone else dictate how I celebrate my love and family bond? So I'm changing the rules or the "Do's & Don'ts". Below are my suggestions, but truly, do what makes you and your spouse happy, it's your day!

10 Year Vow Renewal in Maui

Good morning friends! Today, I am finally sharing my professional vow renewal photos with you and I am so excited to be doing so. Sorry it took me so long you guys! I was given 526 photos and it took me months to narrow it down to these eighteen. What Does Fearless Style Mean to You?

During my trip to cabi headquarters in Los Angeles, I was part of a photo shoot where we were asked to style an outfit using cabi Clothing's new fall line. After each of the eight bloggers picked out and styled our own looks, we were asked to jot down (in five words or less) what fearless style means to us. The first and only thing that came to mind was "No Rules!".  You can read more about this campaign and what the other bloggers said it meant to them over on the cabi Clothing blog!

Recap: #cabiScoop Fall 2017

I recently attended #cabiScoop in Nashville at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center. What is cabi Scoop? Here is more about the event: "It’s a special weekend-long departure from the ordinary—a fashion party we throw twice a year, where we invite each and every cabi Stylist from all over the U.S., Canada, and the U.K. to come together and celebrate the gorgeous season to come. The days are filled with presentations, training sessions, and of course, our Fashion Show; we’ll take time to celebrate last season’s successes, particularly those of our Stylists, and you’ll get the inside scoop (pun intended!) on what makes our Fall Collection so special (hint: a lot!). Plus, enjoy tailored career coaching, sage advice on how to develop a strong, healthy business, and most of all, a fun-filled time full of laughter and friendship."

OK in retrospect, I had no idea what I was getting myself into. Here is what I did know: I was going to attend a fashion show to show off cabi's new Fall collection, there was a shopping event I had plans to check out prior to the fashion show, and a dinner out for all of the bloggers later that night. As I told you last week, I brought my large luggage for my 24 hour trip and OMG you guys, I am so glad I did! First off, talk about a cabi take over....the Gaylord Opryland Resort was covered with giant signage and so many areas for photo opportunities. Kind-of a blogger dream! ;) I flew in the day of the event, so after a quick stop at my room, I headed down to see what this shopping event was all about. 

Product Review: Ricardo Beverly Hills

I was invited to attend cabi Scoop in Nashville on July 20th and if that trip was not enough, I was also gifted this tote bag and a luggage piece of my choice to travel with from Ricardo Beverly Hills. First off, is this real life? A trip (my second this year from cabi Clothing) plus amazing luggage... yes please. How generous! I can not wait to recap my time at cabi Scoop (blog post coming soon), but I wanted to do a product review, even though I was not asked to, on this gorgeous luggage I was gifted. Let's start with the tote bag, shall we? 

This is the Malibu Bay 18-inch tote bag. I love the gray color and the amount of pockets to store things in, is beyond. The fabric is weather resistant and the production of this bag is eco-friendly. This was the perfect carry on and I can not say enough great things about the quality of this product. I will use this bag for everything from overnights to a diaper bag alternative in the future. It really does hold so much and I love how organized this bag keeps you. When it first arrived at my home and I was opening it, I found a beautiful key chain from cabi that I thought looked great on the tote. Side note, both the jacket and scarf are from cabi's fall line....i die! I'm pretty much obsessed with both and you will be seeing them non stop in the coming months. Ok, now onto the luggage. 

#cabiBloggerDay Recap (Part 2)

Hey y'all! Thank you so much for stopping back today to read about the second half of #cabiBloggerDay. If you missed yesterday's post, check it out to get caught up on my amazing day in Los Angeles. OK, so we left off at lunch. First off, I can't even on the gorgeous set up! I mean...the table setting alone was Pinterest worthy but then we started eating and each dish was better then the last. And did you see the macaroons? Beyond delicious! During lunch we chatted some more with both the other bloggers and the amazing cabi staff, and of course, had a bit more champagne. ;) 

#cabiBloggerDay Recap (Part 1)

Back in late May, I was asked, and honored, to be part of cabi Blogger Day 2017. I hopped on an airplane and found myself in sunny Los Angeles for two nights at the Belamar Hotel in Manhattan Beach. Cabi Blogger Day took place at the LA-based cabi home office and we were greeted with champagne as soon as we walked in the door. That my friends, is the perfect way to start off a day! We took a quick tour and found our way to a beautiful breakfast complete with a photo booth. Everything was just gorgeous from the flowers to the table setting. It's all in the details, and cabi got the details right!

During breakfast we chatted with the VP of Marketing as well as the President & Chief Culture Officer. I was given a deeper understanding of this international brand and I have to say it is one I am proud to be promoting as a blogger! Check out the video below for the full day recap.
