Good morning, I hope your coffee is strong and your workload is light this Monday. What a lovely weekend I had. My daughter turned eight yesterday, so this weekend was all about her and boy was she excited! We had her birthday party at our home and it truly was such a fun time. She proclaimed it to be the "best birthday ever" so I think all the hard party planning work turned out. (phew!) We always have so much fun on our kid's birthdays. Each year they pick a theme, however outlandish they want, and it's my job to bring it to life. This year, my daughter wanted an Under the Sea theme complete with shrimp appetizers and sushi lunch. It's always so fun showing them details and seeing their faces as their vision comes to life. Pure joy is beautiful and it makes me so happy to see the giant smiles each birthday party brings.

OK, lets talk fall colors and my outfit here, shall we? I am obsessing over these leaf colors. This is why I live in the Midwest...these colors. That said, I can see myself one day giving them up for palm trees..but I digress. Let's talk about this outfit. I'm wearing a super simple wrap dress by Roxy and I wanted to give it a more edgy vibe. By adding these gorgeous plaid crop boots and faux leather jacket, my look when for basic to chic. I added tights, the most beautiful neutral bag, and gold jewelry to finish the look off. In the end, I was feeling the location and the outfit.
