Gloomy Days, Bright Attire
Hello! To those that may not know us, we're Jess & Jill - two blogger besties who eat, drink, and dress up together! And lately we've had one thing on our mind... warmer weather. So Mother Nature, listen up.
When it comes to spring, outside of the flowers and allergens (hello, itchy eyes!), our minds go straight to rainy weather. While we absolutely love staying dry inside with a Netflix marathon and comfy pajamas, at some point we have to leave our house. But who says the weather has to cramp your style?
We can't get enough of a fun rain boot and funky umbrella, since they make a unique statement on a gloomy day. If wet jeans aren't your thing - because really, who enjoys that - a rolled up pair takes care of the problem and gives off an effortlessly fashionable look. Plus, a distressed design helps hide any raindrops! And there's no excuse to pull out that poncho you paid an arm and a leg for at Disney. These coats will keep you dry without looking like a tourist, because that's never chic.

Who couldn't smile at these little accessories? Facing this weather is looking a whole lot better already! And if you haven't had your fill of weather complaints, you can vent about it to us on Twitter

I spy a few items I must pick up asap! ;) Thank you so much for helping me out with a guest post ladies! Make sure you all head over to their blog and show them some love! xo

Color Me Bad

For the past few months I've been suffering from Winter-drab syndrome - black on black, grey on black.  I'd almost forgotten what color-blocking really was! Over the weekend I was rummaging through my closet and was inspired by these colors to put something together. I'm ready for Spring, as I'm sure you all are as well, so this chunky knit from Zara is my desperate ploy to bring Spring to Chicago - a little sooner.

I love wearing red, so these pants were a no-brainer purchase from Marshalls. Red is such a timeless, classic color, but eye-catching all at the same time. Needless to say, when I came across this sweater, I knew it would be a match made in heaven - with me and the pants. Oh and, look Ma, no sleeves!

Hope you enjoyed the post! Have a great day!

Guest Post: Rosa of Lady Diana's Pearls

This week Stilettos and Diaper Bags is being taken over by guest bloggers! It's amazing and I can't wait to introduce you to some new inspiration and great people.
Up first, Rosa!

"I have a confession to make; I'm not a big fan of jeans. There, I said it, whew... My thing is that often times I feel jeans are too casual or bummy and as I age, I tend to think that they're fashioned with the younger generation in mind. Having said that, I have to admit that I'm loving the skinny jean trend!
At first I shied away from them thinking that only skinny girls could wear them, as the name would suggest. But as I searched high and low and tried on different brands, since no two are alike, I quickly realized how many "skinny" jeans there is to choose from. I've found some great styles that complement different body types and ages. I'm happy to report that I now have several pairs I wear over and over, this being one of them.

I typically reserve jeans for casual affairs, like this afternoon when I met my girlfriend for lunch. I wear them with a streamlined look. Pairing jeans with a blazer always works wonders and adding pearls to the mix completes the look with a touch of elegance.

Since I'm not a tall girl, a mere 5'4", I don' like to wear my skinnies with flats because they seem to shrink me even more. Instead, I opt for wearing heels with skinnies because I get the height I want and an overall slimmer appearance. Besides, what girl doesn't love the sexiness stilettos bestow anyway. Yup, even in the snow I wear mine...

So, how did I do? Sorority girl or powerhouse mom? Inquiring minds want to know."
Thank you so much for guest blogging!!
